Biostimulators

Biostimulator treatments are prescription-only injectable medicines indicated for the stimulation of collagen production to improve skin structure and quality. These treatments work by activating fibroblasts within the dermis, promoting neocollagenesis and gradual tissue remodelling over time.

Unlike traditional volumising treatments that provide immediate space-occupying effects, biostimulators support progressive dermal strengthening and structural restoration.

Mechanism of Action

Following administration into the appropriate dermal or subdermal plane, the product initiates a controlled biological response that stimulates collagen synthesis. Clinical improvement occurs gradually as new collagen is formed, contributing to enhanced skin firmness and integrity.

Clinical Indications

Treatment may be considered in patients presenting with:

  • Mild to moderate skin laxity

  • Age-related collagen depletion

  • Reduced dermal thickness

  • Early structural volume loss

Expected Outcomes

Patients may observe:

  • Improved skin firmness and elasticity

  • Enhanced dermal thickness

  • Smoother skin texture

  • Subtle, progressive volumisation

  •

Results develop over several weeks to months and vary between individuals. A thorough consultation is required to determine suitability, assess medical history, and discuss potential risks, benefits, and alternative treatment options.

All treatments are performed following appropriate clinical assessment and in accordance with Australian regulatory requirements.
